Google’s research paper confirms that according to Tacotron 2, a text-to-speech system, the precision of the imitation of a person speaking from text is near-human.
In contrast to some AI research activities, Google finds this one absolutely useful with immediate effect, thanks also to Wavenet, the system from Alphabet’s AI research, which has become key to generate the voice in Google Assistant.
